Description

Image on a postcard taken from the side of a mule drawn combine of six men standing on and around the combine. Written on back of image "This show left hand side of combine harvester. The grain is reaped then carried to the separator on an endless belt. The straw and chaf is blown out the back of the machine and the wheat runs to the front of the machine where it is sacked on thrown on the shoot down which it slides to the ground. It requires five men to run this machine, -one to drive, another regulation on the reaper in short and tall grain another man, attends to the separator grain into the sacks and the fifth sews the sacks and dumps them.
