Description

Small Haida (?) canoe paddle carved from solid piece of wood. Handle has butt end with "V" shape carved out just below. Paddle is carved and painted in traditional NW Coast form line painting of Orca (?). Tertiary designs are carved to recess. Primary and secondary designs are of red and black ovoids and "U" shapes. Some cross hatch carving at top ofpaddle. Carved, but not painted on one side. Post-Contact.
