Description

Small table mat woven tightly of very fine grass. Its shape is square at the inside, but gradually takes on a more rounded shape toward the outside. The grass is of three colors: natural, light brown, and dark brown. Eells reported that aniline dyes were used to color the grass. Decoration is a square of triangle shapes in dark brown in the middle, and concentric ones of light and then again dark brown triangles. There is evidence of food(?) stains in the center.
