Maxey Catalog Number
Medium-sized Twana "fancy basket" woven in three colors of grass: tan, light brown and dark brown grass, as well as cedar bark. It is elaborately designed: the top is scalloped with stands of twisted bark. At the top of the main body, dark brown grass is woven in the shape of dogs (?). Next in descending order are four rectangular shapes, which circle the basket woven in all three colors. At the bottom the rectangular shapes are repeated, but are interspersed with human figures in dark brown. Post-Contact.
