Description

Large, square basket tightly woven of cedar roots and bark. The design is very dark and blonde grass woven vertically with two wide stripes on each of the four sides. The top is decorated with scallops of woven roots, wrapped with bark; these scallops are exceptionally damaged. The basket is most likely of the "fancy" or "stiff" variety described by Eells.
