Decorated with a design of scattered maple leaves, cherry blossoms and a willow branch, executed in green, red and gold lacquer in togadashi (smooth patterns of sprinkled metal) technique against a pale yellow ground, the rims mounted in silver, the interior surfaces lacquered solid black. Accession File states: "11064-79 Covered lacquer bowl, beige, red flowers, a metal rim. diam.: 3 11/16." 20th century.
