Wooden handle. Long, two pieces; held together by some type of wooden twine in a crossed type of pattern. The top of the wooden handle is curved like a lantern and it 14 cm long and 4.5 cm wide. The same type of twine found at the bottom of the wooden handle also holds on the piece that looks like a lantern at the top. On the top of the wooden handle the number 6683 is written in black ink. A piece of wood at the top has broken off. Some splits in wood down the sides. Bottom of handle is covered with some type of material, possibly some type of paper or painted substance, black in color. Wood twine that crosses the bottom of handle in pattern is very fragile and easily moved. Accession File states: "Kris, Nora wood handle, Mindanao, #9."
