Description

Constructed as a square support with raised edge and deep foot, the foot with an ogival-form openwork reserve to each side, decorated to the top with multicolored sprays of flowers and grasses, which further decoration of grasses to each side, all executed in hiramaki-e (raised sprinkled metallic lacquer) technique against a black ground. Meiji Period.
