Description

Decorated en suite museum number WHIT-F-15, a suzuri-bako, and likely they were intended to be a set; together with the bottom half of a kiri wood storage box. Accession File states: "Black and gold lacquer box, abstract floral design. Silver spatter inside. Orange silk cord with tassel. Condition good, some chipping on edges (minimal) top slightly warped, edges of cord beginning to fray." 19th Century.
