Description

Ivory, rectangular box with lid. Found inside was a small strip of material; off edge of the inside of the lid. Intricate and repetitious pattern of stars made up from triangles in gold, dark blue, light blue, and ivory. The bottom of lid and box are lined with one continuous edge of two solid brown and gold lines; in between are diamond shapes of blue encased in white ovals and spaced by two very small gold triangles meeting at a point. See "Artifact Report: WHIT-F-0041" in File Cabinet Two under "Research Notes" for further information. Accession File states: "11064-74 Ivory box. Inlayed wood with paint to form geometrical pattern. Two pieces of ivory have come loose; one is inside box."
