Description

Two souvenir portraits painted and covered in glass. These oval shaped glass-covered portraits depict a 19th century couple. 46.1.0 9 (A) depicts a woman wearing a yellow dress and a white shawl with hair in curls. Her face is in profile facing left and her image is surrounded by gold beads with her portrait set on a red background. 46.1.0 (B) depicts a man with sideburns looking to the right. He is wearing a black coat with a golden vest and white collar. Like his female counterpart his image is surrounded by gold beads with the whole image set on a red background. Each portrait is 2 and 3/4 inches long and 2 inches wide. 20th Century.
