Description

Two notch net weight made of dark grey stone with a slightly pitted surface. Notches appear to have been removed from opposite sides of the stone. One end has a 1.5 cm long by 2.4 cm wide area removed with a 0.4 cm long by 1.9 cm wide rounded notch. The other end has a 1.5 cm long by 2.6 cm wide area removed with a 0.6 cm long by 2.6 cm wide rounded notch. Accession File states: "5908. Stone Implements. Sinkers,Indian (sic) Island in Columbia River opposite Juniper, Oregon." Donor File states: "5908. Stone Implements. Sinkers, Indian. Island in Columbia River opposite Juniper, Oregon."
