Description

Four notch net weight made of brown stone with black veins and a light brown interior with white inclusions. Notches appear to have been removed from opposite sides of the stone. One end has a 1.7 cm long by 3.2 cm wide area removed with a 0.8 cm long by 2.4 cm wide rounded notch. The other end has a 2.1 cm long by 3.2 cm wide area removed with a 0.7 cm long by 2.2 cm wide rounded notch. One side has a 2.0 cm long by 3.6 cm wide area with a 0.5 cm long by 2.0 cm wide rounded notch. The other side has a 1.8 cm long by 2.5 cm wide area with a 0.5 cm long by 1.9 cm wide rounded notch. Accession File states: "6586- Stone Implements- Sinter (sic) Four notched, Columbia River." Donor File states: "6586- Stone Implements-Sinter (sic), 4 notched, Columbia River."
