Unbroken pestle made of light grey stone with white inclusions, tapering from smallest at top to largest at bottom, no decoration. Top slightly rounded, bottom flat. Wear on the bottom indicates use. A few flakes missing from around bottom. Accession File states: "5712 Pestle, Indian Found at junction of Palouse and Snake Rivers Presented by Mary Gilliam May 28, 1929." Donor File states: "5712 Pestle, Indian. Found at junction of Palouse and Snake Rivers."
