Description

A small man stands in the middle ground on a frozen pond and ice fishes with a large castle in the background surrounded by a winter landscape. This drawing is twelve of sixteen images created by Reid for a portfolio book about the River Tweed with text by John Veitch, PhD. The images were later reproduced by Amand-Durand, a famous French engraver. Framed: 19 3/4" x 16 3/8", Sight: 9 1/2" x 7".
