Description

Pair of Japanese paintings in ink and light colors on silk, mounted as hanging scrolls. The one of the left depicts the wind god Fujin amid clouds with a double gourd at his waist. The one of the right depicts the thunder god Raijin amid clouds as well with a billowing ribbon over his head, clutching at her forehead with one hand. Both scrolls are signed and stamped with the artist's seal. Dimensions: entire scrolls: 58 5/8" x 9 1/2," painted images: 37 1/2" x 8 5/16."
