Description

Small, gilt bronze male statue of a Bodhisattva facing forward, wrapped from the waist down in drapery. The left hand is missing and the right is holding a vase. The figure stands on a dark finished wood base with a metal plaque inscribed "Hakuho Period (646-709 AD). Dimensions: 6 5/8" x 2 1/4" x 1 /58", pedestal: 1 7/8" x 2 1/2"x 2 1/4".
