The Wallace Gendron Papers includes photographs of World War II (1941-45), featuring aftermath photos of bombing raids carried out by Army Air Force pilots. Gendron, an Army Air Force photographer, would follow up on bombing raids, showing the results of air attacks on German targets. Items also include personal memorabilia collected by Gendron during his three years of service, including a survival kit issued to soldiers in the event they are captured. There is also correspondence and photographs of Walla Walla Air Base.
