Photograph of members of the Whitman College fraternity, Phi Delta Theta, performing a skit titled 'Uncle Tam McTavish's Cabin" in blackface at the All-College Revue in 1949. The All-College Revue was a variety show where college fraternities and sororities performed skits. It was not uncommon for students to dress in racist or culturally appropriated costumes during this annual event.
