The collection consists of individual headshots, group photos, sports photos, color slides, negatives, professional portraits, and scenery photos of Whitman College. These photographs are a selection of the overall collection.

Photographs of a marker gifted to Whitman College by Adelphi College in 1931. The inscription reads: "To Narcissa Prentiss Whitman - One of the Two First White Women to Cross this Continent - 1836. Presented by the Students of Adelphi College, 1931." The gift from Adelphi College was sponsored by the Oregon Trail Memorial Association (OTMA), an organization founded by Ezra Meeker to memorialize the route and settlers who traveled the Oregon Trail.
