Wooden box, inlayed with different colors of wood to form geometrical designs. Inside, contains two pieces of pottery, one small slab of white marble and eight smaller stones. One piece of pottery has the number 20 written on it; on rock has what appears to be "1B" or "18" written on it. Pottery, Marble and Rocks are no longer in the box and are now missing. The lid of box, has writing indentations on top of lid. There is a metal latch that connects to box itself, and two back metal hinges; lid has four rows, 19 cm in length, of small perforated holes. Inside of box, lid is black and interior of box is glued with a decorated rice paper that has purple, and red looking turtles with green splotches of grass. Wood coming off in some parts, left side of box, and top of lid. Chips in various places around the box. Bottom of box is painted black and has the number 2560 in the right hand corner on a sticker. Accession File states: "Fancy Box, probably Japanese. Contains near East relics."
