Small wooden pen tube. Maybe made of bamboo, hole in one end of the tube where wood is thick; other end seems to taper in thickness and there is an opening that extends up 0.6 cm to an area of packed wood no signs of a pen or writing portion of pen. Thicker, upper porting of wood is darker, the thinner lower porting is lighter in color. Several cracks (4) that run along the length of the pen. Piece of string tied around tube, the number 3460 written on side. Accession File states: "Chinese Pen."
