Maxey Catalog Number
Wood shoes with blocks on the bottom and white canvas straps. Wood is smooth. On the bottom of both shoes, at the tip there is a small brass protrusion which covers where the white canvas pieces converge down by the top of the toe, looks like a flower, and is connected by two small nail. Blocks on bottom are separate and appear to be fitted pieces onto the shoe. Possible commercially made. Brown sticker on the bottom where Twine connects two white canvas straps. Each toe has an old catalogue number which reads 11064-85 a or b, but because they come in a pair, they are catalogued as 11064-85. Accession File states: "Geta, Japanese shoes. Plain finish, white canvas straps, wood blocks on bottom, for outside wear."
