Description

Red Cross flag. Background is white with a red cloth cross stitched in the center. Appears to be hand sewn. Old accession file states: "(Noted by Mr. Graham on original list) - This red cross flag was captured from Yuan Ski Kai's [sic] troops, by the Yuannanese, so the Yunnanese said, was used by the Yunnan troops and later given to the missionaries who were then doing red cross work and who used these flags in their work." Early 20th Century.
