A broken, light grey basalt adze, relatively smooth. Flakes are removed from most edges on both sides of the stone. Tiny flakes removed from edges indicate useweaar. Artifact notes state: "An adze is a cutting tool that has a thin arched blade sharpened on the concave side and set at right angles to the handle. Used primarily for rough-shaping wood."
