Light grey with a slightly pitted surface, "8" shaped rock with a smaller top than bottom and a groove near the center. The groove is 0.8 cm wide by 0.2 cm deep. Both ends of the pestle have usewear. Accession File states: "5866 Hammer Stone, small. Ft. Hall, Ind., Bannock Co., Idaho. Purch. Clarence McBeth Jan. 24, 1930." Donor File states: "5866 Hammer Stone, small. Ft. Hall Ind., Bannock Co. Ida." Museum File has a list of items purchased from Clarence McBeth.
