Description

Slightly irregular, triangular shaped pestle made of grey stone with rounded ends and sides. Ends have evidence of usewear. Sides are rougher indicating that the stone was also used for grinding. Accession File states: "9642 Indian Artifacts found along Garrison Creek near Walla Walla. Donor -Paul Stemmer." Donor File states: "9642 Indian Artifacts. Pestle, etc. Found along Garrison Creek near Walla Walla. Donor- Paul Stemmer June , 1947."
