Title

Knife with Sheath

Description

Barong Knife or Sword with Sheath. It is made of metal and wood. The grip is 8.1 cm of wood with 8.5 cm of metal below decorated top and bottom with incised bands. The blade is curved with the "leaf" shape characteristic of a barong. An "E" has been engraved into the blade near the grip. The blade is relatively free of rust. The blade is marked at the top "ESK106" on white-out. The sheath is made of two pieces of wood, slightly "T" shaped with slight ornamentation to the top and bottom. The sheath is bound together with string near the top and bottom. The bottom string may be original. The top string is nearly certainly a later addition to keep the pieces together. The sheath is marked at the top "ESK106A" on white-out.
