Adze

Description

Adze, dark grey, made of basalt. Fairly smooth, but very angular. Series of angular edges run the length of the stone. One end is pointed, narrow. The other end is wide, with an angular edge running the length of it. Artifact notes state: "An adze is a cutting tool that has a thin arched blade sharpened on the concave side and set at right angles to the handle. Used primarily for rough-shaping wood."
