    Abstract

This thesis contains critical editions of two musical works by the Swedish romantic composer Elfrida Andrée (1841-1929). These editions of her String Quartet in D minor and her Andante quasi recitativo for string orchestra were engraved and edited using early manuscript sources. Included with the scores are biographical information, critical notes, and historical comments regarding both compositions.
